About this service:
Supplier selection is one of the most important steps in the supply chain of your company. These businesses are the ones who will provide the merchandise that your company will sell, so it is of the utmost importance, before starting to work with a new supplier, to make sure that it meets your requirements and standards.
Through strategic alliances with different auditing companies across all continents, we offer a variety of services in terms of audits, the main ones being:
Supplier qualification audit
This type of audit involves an exhaustive evaluation and qualification of your supplier’s facilities, taking into account twenty-five control points that are aligned with ISO 9001 and SA8000 standards, covering many aspects of the facilities, thus guaranteeing a comprehensive evaluation.
Key areas examined are for example a verification of the validity of the supplier’s business license, as well as relevant documentation, an overview of the quality management systems used, manufacturing capabilities and working conditions, among others.
The audit report you will receive will provide you with all the information you need to decide whether to establish a business relationship with the audited supplier. These reports can also be customized to cover any specific concerns you may have.
Within this service, if your company requires it, we can propose a corrective plan and carry out a follow-up audit to verify the implementation of said corrective measures.
Product inspection
To avoid delays related to quality issues at the last minute, we recommend carrying out inspections and monitoring of the product during the early stages of the manufacturing process. With this initial inspection carried out weeks or even months before your scheduled shipment date, we can ensure that the quality of your merchandise is not compromised and thus achieve its timely delivery.
Within this service there are three instances that can be audited:
- Pre-production: This inspection serves to confirm that the supplier is ready to start production as planned and helps to identify any potential quality risks before the start of mass production. This is achieved through a visit to the factory where an examination of the materials, components and production areas is carried out.
- During production: This inspection reveals valuable information such as the production flow, the use of equipment, the supplier’s production capacity and any potential problems, such as bottlenecks, as well as corrective measures to address them and steps to follow.
- Post-production: generally carried out once between 80% and 100% of the merchandise has been produced, this inspection has the main purpose of identifying any quality problems with the finished product or the packaging prior to shipment, thus providing a statistical description of the quality of the product after the end of the production process. Our inspection verifies whether materials, performance, functionality and overall quality align with your specific requirements, taking into account internationally recognized AQLs.
Comprehensive factory audit
For importers seeking a comprehensive understanding of their supplier’s facility, a supplier qualification audit often provides sufficient information. For those companies that require a deeper look, this audit is the ideal path. In addition to covering all aspects included in the supplier qualification audit, a comprehensive audit performs a detailed examination of the factory’s quality management system. This includes:
- Design control.
- Control over purchasing processes.
- Control of warehousing management.
- Production control.
- Control over production operations.
- Inspection and testing of finished products.
- Control and maintenance of measuring and testing equipment.
- Control of resource management.
- Commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
